    Well it stops these people who advertise trial subscriptions online, just to get the long number, charging you every month at full price after the trial ends and making it as difficult as possible to cancel with them.

    That's a good thing.

    How hard is it to send a email, pick up a telephone or even send a letter.....

    Funny how people say they can't contact a co yet happy gave them their card details... So they must know who they are dealing with....

    Common sense dictates that when signing anything like this you bookmark any site. So you can easily get back to it.
    Retailers will also send out emails. Of course many people never look in spam folder, or have such stupid spam filters that they delete them....
