  • WOW.
    Thanks for all the responses!
I've spent near enough 4 hours on the phone today in separate phone calls, thankfully a 'good' day for my headaches!
First rang the number that rang me yesterday morning and asked do you work on Sundays "no"....ok, well I had a phonecall yesterday morning before 9:30 saying my claim has been stopped, must be a scam - thanks.
She VERY quickly replies 'oh they must be open then'.....really? well can you check to make sure?...you can see how this conversation went.
In the end she confirmed that it was a legit call but thanks to my memory loss, 20 minutes after putting the phone down to her, I remembered I forgot to ask for a copy of the report, so rang back, when the chap answered I said "Hi there, Can I give you my NI number please to discuss my case" his reply was 'whats up?' which really narked me so i replied 'my chloresterol and blood pressure' and hung up.
rang back a third time and got through to a lovely welsh lady - she seemed pretty new and had to seek confirmation on alot of stuff which i was fine with - but in the end I was told i couldn't have a copy of the report...... after a further 20 minutes with her manager she took a huff and said "aww here, i'll request one and be sent out in the next few days and before you ask my name is XYZ and my ext is 1234"....well thank you.

seriously what is this peoples problems? I know ALOT of people that would love to be working and have a better attitude than this.

anyway- I've asked for guidance from this nice lady and her snotty manager as to appeal

I've got wait for an appeal form to be deliverd to me tomorrow, fill it in and send it back with as much information as to why i disagree - I told her that my Drs are saying the only way a Dr will do a 'report' on my condition is if they request it, which she refused?! but did say that I can, at any time send additional information into the 'case' to be reviewed as and when.

at the end of my tether with all this clart on - had it not been for a drunk driver, i would not be in the position putting up with absolute morons (except the nice welsh lady).
I'm only claiming what I'm entitled to no? AND my solicitor was in touch today - the ESA dept are claiming all the benefits they've paid me...from the drunk drivers insurer!!!!!!!!! so they'rebiting their nose off despite their face (and my medical conditions) as they're going to get all their money back.
  • If they purposeley forget to send a GL24 then there's one here

    http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@benefits/documents/digitalasset/dg_201702.pdf

Send it back recorded delivery, put in the "Reasons box" that you will forward all the reasons for your appeal after you have seen your:
    1. The ESA85
    2. The ESA85 Decision makers Score sheet
    3. The ESA65
    4. All medical evidence used by the HCP
    5. All medical evidence used by the decision maker
  • Again, thanks for the replies - I have amalgamated all the above responses into the TINY box for 'reasons', but one thing they've done... is not supply a return address - and I refuse to hand it into the local office for fear of it 'going missing' like EVERYTHING else i've previously had to hand in there....

You can supply extra reasons on attached sheets, and probably should in most cases.
You send it back (REGISTERED!!!!!) to the address on the letters for ESA.
