iMac MA877B/A - Any Good?

On a budget for an Apple Mac, would anyone consider the Mac MA877B/A to be any good. My wife is deperate for a mac.
This is the 2007 release and she would be mainly doing office work and web browsing, but in particular she is wowed by the clarity of the screens when checking out the newer macs in the Apple Store. So, is this screen's image quality not a stone's throw away from the newer apple monitors or is it more or less equivient to a normal PC monitor of today?
