Barclaycard Initial accapted

hi guys ,

i recently applied for a few different credit cards but most of them were declined , including my own bank (lloyds) .
I applied for a capital one secured card was boviously accepted and paid my deposit ( still not recieved the card yet) .

Now 2 days ago i was camparing cards and ''thought what the hell'' and applied for a barclaycard inital card , i know credit card applications can lower your credit score for a couple of months but because i have applied for a couple the past few weeks i decided 1 more wouldn't hurt.

I recieved a letter yesterday saying i have been accepeted, can honestly say i'm really shocked ...

do you think the secured card may have increased my credit score? i've not even recieved it yet.

£200-500 I would say more then likely.

Don't think you having the secured credit card helped you as it haven't fell through your letter box yet.

Depends on how they scored your application form, and what you put down. Everything would have been scored.

I used to have a vanquis for one month but I really wanted a initial one like you have one so I got accepted as it is my main bank and I got £800 but then again I did say I am earning £11,000 when I'm not and I have to put a minimum of at least £10,00 a year on the form to qualify for it.

I would not advocate fraud, but just to warn you they do track application fraud through National Hunter which could result in a CIFAS marker.

I got one of these when I was 19, starting limit was £850, APR was 25.9%.

I still have it, limit is £4,810, APR 18.9%. All automatic credit limit increases, so it'll probably start low and increase over the years (I've held the card for seven years and only use it for promo balance transfers now).
