Oh, cheap non fat Slimming World friendly dahl recipe I love - use the little orangy red lentils, they cook quick and sort of melt down delightfully.

You need to chop a couple of onions up and 'fry in some stock/bouillon and curry powder....

In theory but what I actually do is bung a handful of red lentils, chopped up onion and chopped potato in the microwave with water and a stock cube and some curry powder and let cook, about 20/30 mins or so, checking every so often to see how well done it is. It tastes even better with fresh garlic and ginger mixed in as well. Yoghurt on top is nice as well, and some grated cucumber with salt added.

I would have thought this would work well in the slow cooker, bring to a boil as usual then leave to cook.

Interesting that you associate the melon with weight loss yet think the ghee is fattening. The reverse is actually true, you won't get fat from cooking your dahl in ghee but you will get fat from eating lots of water melon.

Remember sugar is your enemy, not fat ;)

OK- people eat porridge for breakfast....

I have tried but within an hour I am absolutely starvinggggggggggggggggg

I feel better when I actually do not have a breakfast at all.

    Hmmmm

The porridge I have - I make it with skimmed milk - although trying to avoid milk all together.. but have so much porrisge that have to use it up...

Using whole milk would keep you fuller for longer :)

Not necessarily, eating a "low fat" diet is almost entirely responsible for the obesity epidemic of the Western world. Dietary sugar is the killer, not fat :)

I find that if I only have cereal for breakfast I am hungry very quick, however if I also have some fruit, it's not so bad. I also used porridge oats to make my own muesli which I have with unsweetened yoghurt which is the thing that keeps me full until lunchtime (well, so does a fry up but trying to have a less of those). I like adding sunflower and pumpkin seeds plus dried cranberries to my muesli.

Also, remember you blood sugar can start to dip just three hours after eating, so having a mid-morning snack of some seeds/dried fruit/nuts can help a lot.

As I am not burning calories off and sometimes sleeping late(or eating during the early hours...my Breakfast starts when I have my first meal of the day but it is now more likely to be brunch...

I think Breakfast to be important and all of the above I'd go along with...all quick and easy suggestions and so many can be added to the list, Breakfast need never be boring or repetitive unless money is tight and that restricts what you have in the cupboard...
