Move spam in MS Outlook...

Hi - Has anyone ever tried to use the "Rules" thing in Outlook to move spam from the inbox?

I've set up rules that are supposed to move messages with specific content, but all I get is a copy in the "Junk" folder, with the original left in the inbox! :'(

Anyone know how to do it?

Gracias...

  • Hi,

The following page is a troubleshooting guide for the junk mail filter for Outlook 2003 but I think it should apply to 2002:

In particular I think this section might be useful:

I am seeing duplicate copies of junk e-mail messages.

You are using a POP3 (POP3: A common protocol that is used to retrieve e-mail messages from an Internet e-mail server.) e-mail account and have created a client-side rule to move messages to another folder. One copy of the message is being moved to the other folder and the other copy is being moved to the Junk E-mail folder. Edit your rule, and then add the senders' names to the Safe Senders List, so only messages you want will be moved to the other folder.
