No, I agree it's not underhand or dodgy, but I maintain that it is aggressive.
Kev 225, I'm going to go with your approach, thanks very much for your reply.0 -
Thanks flashg67, I suspect that they hold proof of posting. If a dispute is opened I suspect that that'd be enough to satisfy Paypal (even though if it was a seller with just proof of posting they wouldn't have a leg to stand on!).
No it's the same principal both way...if buyer doesn't have tracking they wouldn't win a case. The POP would only be used if they needed to make a claim from royal mail, as all it does it prove they sent it - not that you received it.
Like kev says, you're not obliged to refund, just depends on how badly a neg will affect your account.0 -
Thanks starrybee, in this instance I could suck up one neg. I've sold quite a lot recently (lost weight so my clothes, and 6 kids - toys, clothes baby stuff etc.) so it should have a limited impact.0

I think perhaps you shouldn't be selling on Ebay if you think someone getting the full details from the RM website when you have furnished them with the housename/number and postal code is aggressive.0 -
I might be out of order here, but the buyer's been daft in returning it untracked. If you weren't such a nice person, you could deny all knowledge about ever having received the purse back at all........?
I guess if you have a moral compass pointing this way, you might also argue it was daft if the seller sent it untracked.

I have declined the return request as I am quite within my rights to do so. The buyer has ignored the procedure in place and is basically saying "I changed my mind about it, there's nothing wrong with it, but I will force you to take it back".
Perhaps I shouldn't be selling on eBay, I deal with enough cretins in daily life, maybe I don't need to get involved with more of the same on there!0
