cast iron griddle plate

I have just bought myself a cast iron griddle plate which is ridged on one side and flat on the other. I have fancied one for ages but couldn't really justify the price. However I saw them reduced in Aldi to £10 so made on. (I love Aldi! )
I have made some dropped scones/scotch pancakes several times successfully ( including gluten free ones for a friend ) and now I am wondering what else to make. I intend to have a go at some potato scones, but what else? Any suggestions??
