I've just emptied my half barrel. Is there anything I could plant in it now for colour later this month and through to october?

I don't know if you can still get them, but my dianthus is still flowering like mad.... and that is since the late spring.... I am not sure if pansies would be a good choice .... I have just bought a couple of packets of miniature daffies for the spring so I am going to plant them in some of my pots as I empty them....

If you can get hold of some geraniums, they flower well at this time of year and well into autumn.0

You can start planting up universal pansies and polyanthas for winter/spring colour.
Or some large pot grown pelargoniums to fill up the space until autumn.0 -
If getting pansies and viola make sure they are nice, compact plants and not drawn by being grown under glass,I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
