Have done it myself, lately to be honest, person working weekends, four children raking in loads one on DLA, little horror he is too, has live in partner who is working as well.
Visiting every theme park; Zoo and attractions each day during the holidays and broadcasting it on social networking sites.
Hurry up LA and catch them.
Makes a mockery0 -
Report them for sure, hope they get they're comeuppance.0

But how do you know nothing has been done? It may have been investigated and dealt with by way of a caution or administrative penalty both are out of court sanctions or they may have ceased there claim and now live officially as a couple.
Because I know them personally, they admit its wrong but can't ween themselves off the extra cash.I also know her stepfather who sees the bank statements etc. They had 1 home visit and that is all the action that was taken. This has been ongoing for nearly 8 years. As this has been going on for so long Its fair to assume that if the fraud investigators were going to act they would have done so by now.
They were even going to get married but called it off because they believed they had more chance of being caught. That is how sad benefit fraud can be.
There has been no cauction,no attachment to earnings to re-pay any benefit back.
People are very naive if they believe there is a good chance of benefit fraudsters being caught.Years ago it was embarassing to be on benefits and at least when you had to sign on in person each week people tended to know who was claiming but not anymore.
I dread to think how much in benefits (HB,CTB,WTc)they have received in the past 8yrs that they were not entitled to.0 -
I'll give you the link to report them online (you don't have to put your name to it if you don't want to):
https://secure.dwp.gov.uk/benefitfraud/
Just remember that while people are defrauding the benefit system the Government have to cut back on benefits which includes benefits for those who genuinely need it.0 -

I can only presume then that their is insufficient evidence to take action.
I personally have cases were I know benefit is being claimed incorrectly and have investigated them, but without any evidence its hard to take action either in or out of court as you need to prove either probability for a DM to cancel the benefit or beyond reasonable doubt for court. Neither are easy in this day and age.
It frustrates the hell out of me when people say should I report them or what's the point. If everyone had this opinion there would be even less money in the pot for those that need it.
We need to know about them so that we can catch them, once on the radar they do get watched and regular names/addresses always pop up and we can make claiming hard for those people by doing regular checks.0 -
I've been reported 3 times in the last few year's & each time i've been called in for an interview.
The last time was a few months when I bought my house, someone has told them that my partner was working & that i'd been bragging about it on Facebook. He hasn't been working nor had I been bragging about anything on Facebook although I did post about buying my house so i'm presuming that someone (probably my ex husband was jealous).
Needless to say I was exonerated again (apparently they had already looked at my Facebook account) & the lady told me that if anyone reported anything else within 3 months they would ignore it but after 3 months has passed they have a duty to investigate any reports made.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
