I think a massive £20+ just stands out more subconsciously to staff than a less than £10 one despite what items are bought. It's from experience everyone is talking like that rather than out of spite, as mentioned before.
I understand that, and some of the later posts are quite kind in that respect. Its the ones accusing him or ruining it all (what has changed today? What has he ruined for that person?!) that have niggled me.
I still think buying a carrot, an onion etc stands out like a sore thumb, and that person is probably using an £8-9 APG on that shop! It stands out in lots of other ways.
I'm sorry.... I am getting angry and ranting. I'm an outsider so will get slated or ignored by most.
I buy quite a bit more than I need to when doing APG. Yesterday's at £25 is supposedly over the radar but when I spent it I spent £37 and the resulting voucher £23. Asda are making far more money out of me than these £10 shops people are doing! If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused0 -
use november bean voucher this afternoon and ketchup still working at 3.20
hope everyone is having a good day0 -

Should say Hi to you first, have read your posts over the last few days, and know you don't get on this thread very much. Also know that you're friends with FK, so may have benefitted by glitches via him.
There are many double standards on here. But most, if they do get lots of glitches, do share, with family, with friends, with work colleagues.
I've always felt that showing pictures of stashes, or quoting quantities, was OTT. But for some, it's part of their glitching.
But all, (and we've sent plenty of new names and new people to MSE on this thread over the last few days in particular) are anxious that the APG doesn't go.
This could be, by purchasing one of each vegetable/fruit. It could be, by generating huge APG's.
Moderation, and variation, is the key, in whichever format we chose to shop.
The thread always has it's ups and downs, condemnations and praise, and with so many people contributing to the thread, there will always be differences of opionions.
But it would be rather nice, if the APG was to continue in it's present form.
I went to A's today, shelf full of Tommy K's, and there still was when I left. I stocked up with T's value sauce a while ago, and had no need of tommy k's.
Others will approach shopping in the same way, others will take, because they can.The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
sorry if already been reported, took mum out to make up for yesterday's shop, did her 2 small shops with a couple of ketchup.....she's happy:A
loo roll scanning at £3 now:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
saw a lady with 4 two packs of plenty in her trolley , told her there were coupons in the asda mags, she came behind us at the checkout and hadn't found any mags so gave her some of mine :A:A
also found a car with 2 abandoned kids in the car park (10yr old and baby) the baby was crying and the 10yr old was hitting the baby:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: asked if she was ok and she burst into tears, said mum had left her with the baby who was asleep but had woke up, called security pronto to call the mum and stayed with them until mum arrived with her shopping and who then didn't say thanks or look sorry for her actions at all :mad::mad::mad:
poor kids:(:(:(:(:(
things like this make me so mad - poor kids.
Just back from vets and my furry boy has got the all clear :j:j:j0 -

I personally won't accuse anyone of ruining anything but perhaps that's what makes these stores change their policy eventually. Keeping that aside though, even though Asda are making more money out of you, when the staff scan your APG, they're not thinking that. They're thinking oh my gosh how did he/she get such a big voucher?! I don't think the staff think that as much for a sub £10 one. They couldn't care less about how much money the company is making out of you, but more concerned about how you have such a massive APG that they have to input.Cup of Tea? :coffee:0 -
ChrisEvanson wrote: »This demonstrates exactly what I mean. Way over the radar surely? The till op looks at it and see's you have spent £10.79 and got an APG for over £9 back, but this is considered by everyone here to be OK?! A banana? A carrot? An onion?
The quote here earlier that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, rings so very true. Shops like this are no better no worse than James's in terms of amount spent and return, and I am quite angry about the way some of those here have treated him to be honest.
is it me or is this getting boring now
from what i read james has apologised and isn't as fussed as you over the advice he was politely given
people are giving polite advice but the response on the thread has descended into flippin chaos, this makes me more:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
i reckon the new thread should be hidden in some place new;);););) i don't mind glitches being shared by newbies but things just going a bit crazy now, me no likey:(
music forum quiet though aau what d'ya think ???;);):D:DGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

In my experience of using APG's the till assistant doesn't check what you have bought that has generated the APG, they just check the transaction number etc against those on the voucher. But if the APG is of a high value it will stand out more and maybe draw unwelcome attention to yourself and also to APG vouchers.Born to glitch0 -
