Just looking at people's post counts. I've made 295 posts but only 191 have been thanked for anything, meaning I've said over a hundred things that no-one gave a **** about :D:D:D

HC, on the other hand, has been thanked for more posts than he's actually made. Now THAT'S an achievement!

I don't think thanks mean too much. I use it to mark what I have read most of the time. :)

Thanks for this. I've won an eco shopper bag :)

    Morning everyone :)

Staples comp where I think you are guaranteed a prize (38,000 prizes) but you will need to have a Staples store nearby to collect your winnings, unless you are lucky enough to win the top prize of Merlin pass for family of 4 which will be posted to you.

You can have as many goes at the comp as you like before you submit your claim for a prize ;) Most frequent prizes seem to be the O'neill pencil cases, the back to school kit and the usb stick

    Techy help please:

    Son moving to uni

Internet provided in his room in halls via an ethernet cable, individual wifi banned (and policed). Is there any way of getting the internet on his iphone through his laptop? Iphone uses so much data and his contract only gives 500MB a month. At home he has the house wifi but away I'm afraid the limit won't be enough. I doubt there is any free wifi floating nearby as his room is on the 10th floor of a tower block.

(Dell inspiron laptop with windows XP and iphone 4S).

I bought a wireless access point (this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Link-TL-WR702N-150Mbps-Wireless-Router/dp/B006PYGWG6/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1346318688&sr=1-2) and it is fantastic for creating a wireless network from a wired ethernet point.

Setup is very easy just setup a name and password on the device and it then "shares" the wired connection wirelessly like your home router would. Very small device and I use it in hotels around the world where wired internet is available.

    Hope this helps

No sign of him yet. I don't seem to get the same postie twice in a week. One of them is an old guy and he's an alkie, there was a hot young student a while back but I don't think he lasted.:(

Depending on who is on mean I can get my mail anytime between 9 and 11.

Well whoever is on better get a wriggle on! :rotfl:
All our posties are old men, no eye candy round here I'm afraid! :(
