I found myself in A's today and I picked up one of their vindaloos and all I can say is, I'm quite disappointed. It was as mild as anything. :( A vindaloo isn't a vindaloo unless it burns! (one the way out as well as on the way in!)

I picked up a madras too and I hope it's better.

You would use them more than once would you ?

    Yep.

Nothing to do with me if the store does not train their staff properly.

Not like i'm shoving it my jumper and legging it.

What is the difference between using an APG twice, and doing two targeted shops, obtaining two APG's and using them separately ?
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

I'm getting a trojan warning every time I click a link to the T's site.

This is happening to me too. Very strange.

Happy, I like a hot curry. I use Tesco own make curry powder (medium). I am sure if you used the hot version it would be even hotter. I just chop up some onions, fry them in a saucepan so that they soften but don't go brown. Then I mix up the curry powder with some of the tomato juice from a tin of chopped tomatoes. Throw that into the saucepan with the onions. Chuck in some mustard seeds. Wait a few minutes for the spices to work. Then throw in diced chicken, chopped mushrooms and peppers. I cook for a few more minutes then throw in the tin of chopped tomatoes. Leave it to simmer for about 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

I'm trying to think of how to use up 1.5 ltr bottles of Heinz ketchup?

Can it be used instead of tomato pur!e in recipes such as bolognaise?
We only use a tiny amount of ketchup usually.

    Cheers.

An old lady I used to know used to put a good old squirt of ketchup in her bolognese. Bloomin lovely it was too!:beer:

    Que madmuppets "it wasn't me"

Delboy Phil seems to be getting a rough ride.

Any reason for it ? ( you have to excuse me not being up to date with the thread, sorry folks)

I believe it has something to do with very high value APGs:o

    I don't like this Delboy bashing :(
If a "regular" had posted that they had asked if they could exchange the beans for ones they liked I reckon they would have been applauded and "thanked".

Why is it fine for several people on this thread to raise the Tesco's DTD policy profile by getting free phones etc. yet not OK for getting high value APG's?
I have no problem with people doing either. As others have said, it's up to the individual to do what they feel comfortable with, but I don't like this mob mentality, where a newbie to this thread is villified for it. :(:(

Welcome to the thread Delboy. I don't know if anyone else has said that yet :o

We often use it instead of tomato puree, works fine. :j

Just remember that there is a lot more sugar and salt in ketchup that there would be in puree.

I always put a good squirt of Heinz ketchup in my bolognese and chilli, along with a good shake of the Worcester Sauce bottle:)

    Thanks FairClaire.

People have a problem with high value APG's ?

    Really ?

What happened to the more the merrier ?

Having had a £200 dtd a while back i'm not sure that any APG's come close to that, so whats the difference between them ?

    NOTHING

Both are getting more than you bargained for.

Gosh you guys and girls are so fickle.

There is no line in the sand.

    Thanks Frequent :T:T
