Just been for some more wine , loads of the red but only 2 rose . Just got 6 , think I will call it a day now :D . Found a lovely long clean womble in the car park . Picked it up in front of lots of folk ,stuffed in my bag , then a big gust of wind came and blew it out high into the sky and away over the fences . :(

  • Can I ask for you genius peeps to help me out:A:A:A

I am hosting a charity night next week for a little local 4 year old boy, who is fighting cancer. The family need to raise £250.000 to send him to the US for antibody therapy. Some of you locals to me may have heard of the appeal
    http://www.familiesagainstneuroblastoma.co.uk/FamiliesAgainstNeuroblastoma_Connor_Whipp.html
The appeal is more so important now, sadly Connor's little friend lost his fight last night:(:(:(
    Anyhow,
I have funded so far, purely on donations from local businesses
A venue, comedians, singer/pianist, disco and lots of good raffle prizes.
T's made a donation of £25 for the bufffet and I have £30 in L2S vouchers, which I can use in Iceland, and a couple of apg's totalling £40. I need to make this money stretch to a buffet approx 100 people, although I have yet to sell not nearly as many tickets:eek::eek: and I need to source helium from somewhere:eek::eek:.
I am going to make the buffet myself but am so a fussy eater I would not know what to make and how best to utilise the money I have available.
Could any kind peeps give me some suggestions and point me in directions to vouchers I can print. I was really hoping the price [STRIKE]flop[/STRIKE] I mean drop:D mag would help me this week

Sorry for rambling on, now the event is so close the pressure is getting to me_pale__pale__pale__pale_

    How absolutely awful :(

What a tremendously kind gesture :). Is it a cold buffet?

If its mixed, I would certainly make a mixed bean chilli with the free Heinz beans. Perhaps if you knew folk with large stockpans who were willing, they could follow a recipe with your ingredients and bring it along to the event so as it is one less thing to worry about. A huge stock pan of boiled rice too of course.

I am sure it will be a huge success. Ring your local rag and radio station to promote it NOW to whip up community interest. They could run it as an appeal for local sponsors to assist too?
