That is really wierd - I was sorting out the piles of bits of paper that I write notes on as I check on here, throwing old notes away and found one which was from when you first mentioned about your Brother, MiL and FiL and I thought, 'I wonder how they are going at the moment' Really glad to hear your news :j :j :j :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Superscrimpers is mad. There's people out there who can't feed their families and SS are extolling the virtues of 'giving an old bangle a new lease of life'!!
Absolutely! I love that show - great comedy! Have you ever noticed that the scrimping experts never seem to wear what they make?
Couldn't believe it when the bloke was working his socks off clearing up old pallets to make a shed and his wife spend £120 on plants ! That really made me laugh.
We could do a much better programme with all the talented people here. I bet Mrs Moneypenny doesn't wear 4p red tights!:rotfl::rotfl:When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think

Wish I could go and get myself some butter, but my driver is snoring and it is at least a 30 minute walk and I would have to get my LO ready, so I will miss it. Just phoned my brother thinking he may get some, no point phoning my mate she is probably asleep and wouldn't bother anyway.
I have been away from home, visiting relatives for a week, so really hoping to find some plenty in my local asda tomorrow, although I think the locals to Poole may have already cleared them out.
Was wondering about the ssm coupons that say a pound off, as I was under the impression that I could use more then 1 per product as it does not state one per transaction/product on the coupon. I had real problems twice this week. Tried to argue my point, and had manufacturer coupons to compare terms on coupon, second store some kind of manager told me he'd never seen these kind of coupons at all. Absolutely useless!!
Phoned their customer service and the guy was very nice and sent out a £10 moneycard, which I had sent to my Nan, as I was trying to get the stuff for her. Hoping I don't have any trouble in my local. It just seems that a lot of us are having more trouble using coupons lately. Tescos way to wean us all off coupons.
Hi,
Neither of the poole stores had them on sunday. Not been back to look since. HTHS0 -

good morning!
loving the butter glinch, just going to make some cakes before kids get up
jumblejack, your £30.00 weekly grocery challenge, love the idea, do you include bread and milk in your challenge, we get through at least 4-6 pints a day. probably would be cheaper for us to get a cow!0 -

Hiya
Yep. Bread n milk included. I also get through a LOT of milk. We get the 4 pints of full fat and water it down 50/50. Tastes like semi skimmed which the family haven't complained about. we still get through 3 to 4 x 4 pint bottles a week before diluting.
I haven't brought full price bread for years. My loaves never cost more than 15p. I buy in the evenings when they are marked down and will bulk buy when they are priced 15p or under and freeze them. I also make chapatis by hand as they cost pence to make and occasionally make herby cheese bread for soups or for buffet spreads.
I haven't updated my signature yet from yesterday's shopping. I got me some butter;)
£30 seems extreme for an average size family but with help from these threads, it is achievable but requires massive discipline.
I don't think the family are missing out on goodies or nutrition. They just have to get used to me going on mad sprees when a shopportunity arises:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
