think i may have deleted excel off my computer as i know i had it on short cuts on my seck top. now it is not there and each time i try to download martins budget planner it says it cant find excel 2000. what have i done? and can it be undone?
also at around the same time i seem to have lost the bar where you ytpe your url think its called the bit where you put www. etc. dim i know but am real beginner and self taught, not very well obviously lol... anyone out there please help

At the top of Explorer:
View menu > Toolbars > click Address Bar
That should sort out your second problem.
Regarding the Excel problem, if you do a search of your harddrive for 'excel', does it show the program as still being on there?0 -
thanks, have got that back now but it means losing print button etc. apparently son was messing about with it last night so now i have lost all my toolbars, murder will be carried out when he gets home lol. this is all hard enough for me as it is........ as for excel looked at stuff i had deleted on short cut and excel was not even on there???????????0

If that does not work then he may have gone in to "Customize..." (on the same menu) and made changes. If so you will also need to dive in and pick the buttons you want to see.0 -
no, seem to have lost it forever, beginning to wonder now if i ever had it!!! have had a look at some free downloads of excel but it looks like its in a different language. can you recommend a free download or will i have to buy a package???0

Have you tried to 'restore' to previous date. Go to Start, Accessories, System Tools, and Restore is contained in the list. It might just help.
