Non delivery of goods

  • I know exactly how you feel it's just discusting and there is absolutely nothing you can do but take them to court!

I'm going to cut a really long story short, I ordered a large item that was never delivered (but the 'delivery' company Yodel claimed that it was!) I was subjected to abuse from a Yodel driver, spent nearly £40 in phone calls to both Yodel and Littlewoods trying to sort the issue out, phoned every few days over a period of 2 months and each time I was fobbed off by another department/investigation team who quite frankly were useless, don't even get me started on their rudeness!

I emailed the pointless 'help'@littlewoods.com team a number of times and it was them that decided that in their 'expert' opinion, a copy of the signature I provided to them to prove that I had not signed for the item was the same as the one on the docket!!! It clearly did not match apart from one of the letters being the same but the person on the 'help' team and then the track and trace team decided that that was enough to close the case and demanded that I pay for the item that I had never received.

I toed and froed with them trying to appeal to their professionalism (joke!) pointing out the vast differences in the signature and the fact that this was effectively fraud as I hadn't received the item or signed for it. I got nowhere was told that the case was closed and that if I had an issue that I should escalate it to the Directors office. I did that 3 weeks ago, haven't heard a peep back.

    Useless Crooks!!!

reading these threads is always interesting, I must say all the negative feedback on these boards makes me less inclined to buy from them
a pet hate of mine is that they can take money from you card or accounts ages after you bought something because they decided the discount code you used is not valid, instead of taking responsibility for not administering their codes properly
  • Wow it is really disheartening to read all these posts from people who have had bad experiences with Littlewood's and Yodel you would think that a massive company such as Littlewood's would only entrust their deliveries to a reputable company, if you type Yodel into Google the majority of the posts are also bad ones, however in my experience i have learnt that most companies who source out a section of business to another company are well aware that the company is not filling its contractual promises but due to the desire to keep costs down; they ignore their shortfalls which for Littlewoods is not a good look indeed they used to be a reliable and trusted retailer but obviously they are not that any more; rest assured I will not be purchasing any further items from them I will instead be opening an account with John Lewis.
  • Hi There
I am getting ready to escalate my complaint to the Littlewoods Directors and was wondering if you had had any luck with your complaint as yet as it does seem quite similar to mine.

Wealdroam, you obviously haven't been round here in a while.

This thread was about Yodel and Pcworld, and someone hijacked it and turned it into a Littlewoods thread.

That Just-Eat thread has been hijacked and turned into a lastminute.com debate thread.

and that Returning a TV for Repair has magically turned into a "Spicy Retailer" thread instead of 247electrical.co.uk

So while I'm here and thread hijacking is apparently all the rage on Consumer Rights, I have a problem with my fishmongers.
