If you are into conspiracy theories, I would say they are part of a secret cartel, and each member is only allowed to have so many customers. E.On has attracted too many, so now they have to shed some.

We also jumped ship from EON to Scottish Power. We were on Saveonline 9 which is coming to a end. Scottish Power will save us over £180 compared to the tariff EON were putting us on.

We live in the south though so I hope the Scottish Power energy will be strong enough as it has to travel all the way from Scotland .:D :D

I was told that they are commited to customer service now and not price matching. I admit their CS is excellent, but as I manage my bills online, I very rarely contact them, don't think that is an incentive to stay with them. It would only come into play if their prices are identical to the others.

X-Files II, Pincher & Scully. It will be X-rated, because I will be with her in a hotel room all the time. Room Service.

Pincher, you cad! You are diverting from my utilities dilemma, I really don't want the hassle of moving, will Eon have a change of heart as everyone is leaving and suddenly come up with a better deal? Or am I living in cloud cuckoo land?

    I suspect cloud cuckoo land!

I gave up waiting for Eon to bring out something competitive. I'm disappointed, I would have been happy to stay with Eon as well. Loyalty counts for nothing these days.

Check the comparison sites and do what's right for you, s-a-h-, not what Eon would LIKE you to do!
  • Well, I'm off after 10 years+ and after a kick up the backside from the good people who contribute to this board! I too felt daunted by moving, but now I've made the move and I'm glad. I can't understand why after all these years of offering the most competitive tariff for me they are 20% more expensive than I can get elsewhere, but as far as I'm concerned losing me is their loss, certainly not mine.

Started my switch, surprised it says it will take 4-6 weeks as I thought 3 weeks was more the norm now.
