Hi,
Does anyone know how to turn on thread subscribe by default? I have posted a few comments on various threads and realised that I was not getting emails notifying me of replies. I now see that by default I am not subscribed and I have to turn it on when posting each reply.
Would be really useful to have this automatically turned on as I don't want people thinking I'm ignoring their replies.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi.
To turn on auto subscription to threads you post on you need to do the following.....
Click UserCP then on the left click edit options. There's a large box titled Messaging and Notification, in that box look for Default Thread Subscription Mode. From the drop down menu choose how you want to be notified of any new posts made on threads you are subscribed to. When you have chosen anything other than Do Not subscribe scroll to the bottom and click save changes.
Note that choosing no email notification will subscribe you but won't let you know when new posts are made. I personally choose no emails because a thread or 2 I subscribe to gets very busy so to save my inbox getting full I check my subs when I log in by clicking on Quick Links then subscribed threads. Threads with unread posts on will be at the top in bold blue.
You can also check for new posts by clicking UserCP but I find that a bit hit and miss.
Hope that helps:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
