Increase in number os stray kids at roadsides..

Nipping to the supermarket I passed two young kids sat on the curb of waiting for a bus on a very busy main road, with dad watching. Some people leave me speechless.0

You can trace it all back to the moronic Elf'n'Safetee culture, which prevents anyone taking risks, and therefore deprives them of the ability to assess risk, and the moronic Compensation Culture, which encourages people to always blame someone else when it goers wrong, rather than take personal responsibility for there own stupidity.
All this itself is quite deliberate, since the population is being dumbed down as we are turned into a police state ready to be annexed as a subservient region of the United States of Greater Germany.

I love the way some "parents" with pushchairs shove the child out into the traffic before they cross the road.0

well you cannot expect them to put themselves at risk:rotfl:0 -
I'm afraid that it's an undocumented physiological side-effect of having children that it turns the brain into chutney.
Remarkably this happens to the father as well as the mother.Je suis Charlie.0 -
......I regularly cycle down a canal with shear sides about a foot high, the number of parents with children feeding the ducks and having no control over their children
If the kids fell in no way to get them out without jumping in, also gives the message it's alright to be at the waters edge
I suppose if an accident happens the answer will be to fill the canal in
Reins never did me any harm as a child
yep, reins never did me (or my offspring) any harm either but maybe what you are seeing is the next stage where the small ones have advanced to the stage where they have learned to assess the risk and have fun without falling into random bits of water.
I'm not sure we should be giving people the message that it's not alright to be at the waters edge. Lots of pleasure to be got there, cycling, duck feeding, fishing etc etc. Maybe the message we should be giving is don't fall in (or learn to swim)0 -
worse are drunks at night on the weekend, some !!!!!! with dark trousers and black thirt in a poorly lit area was crossing the road at night on a busy road the otherday. spotted him just outside safe breaking distance.
pedestrians have too much rights these days, in any other country, if a stupid pedestrian was going to do that it will be his fault0 -
I can deal with drunks as they take longer to stagger into the road than a small child.0

Teenage girls particularly seem to think that they can wander into the road and the cars have to stop. we all know that they do but at some point they are going to come across a driver who isn't paying attention and end up in the wrong end of an argument with a large metal thing travelling at 25mph0

I've had them run out on purpose playing silly !!!!!!s. Full beams, spot lights and hard acceleration usually gets them out of the way tout suite with a small deposit in their pants. :rotfl:0
