Butlins Minehead - Day Passes

We are going on holiday next week and will be staying just outside Minehead. If the weather is grim we were thinking about going into Butlins for the day - has anyone gone in as a day visitor is it worth it? What is included in the entrance fee? How long can you stay for? Do you need to book? Any information would be appreciated.

As far as I know you just turn up on the day at the gate... no need to book.
You can go on anything on site, swimming, shows etc. Not sure when you are supposed to leave by but when I went last year they do not ask for any ID or passes for the shows so you should be able to get in to them ok.
It depends on you and your family (ages etc) and what you intend to do for if it is worth it. If you all go swimming and stay for a show then it would be worth it.
I enjoy Butlins, there is always something to do0 -
We go to Butlins Skegness regularly but not in school hols as its too expensive as we pay £15 for a family ticket which is only a couple of quid more than a family swim at the local pool , Butlins charge £46 in term time
You can do anything on site you wish same as a staying guest fun fair, pool etc , you are meant to leave by 6pm but could stay longer if you wished there is no way they can check, but check when the car parks lock up , if planning on staying longer you may have to park off site0
