Barclaycard - Additional cardholder

Hi all,
Just successfully applied for a Barclaycard to do a balance transfer. We will also use it for a few old purchases and abroad. The missus was thinking of applying for a CC because she's organising a hen do and needs to book hotels and flights and things... on the Barclaycard you can add close relatives as additional cardholders, is it worth her doing this with respect to her credit history? She hasn't ever had any credit (CC's or loans) before (which was a small hiccup when we got our mortgage) and so she wants to build her own credit history. Will being an additional cardholder give her this, or should she get her own card? It'd be easier to manage 1 card rather than 2, but not a huge issue.

I have one rule for balance transfer cards - I never put other transactions on it until the balance is clear.
Additional cardholders do not get any credit score from being on your card - they would have to get a card in their own name.0
