Zappideals.com - for real?

Options
Hi,

Has anyone come across zappideals.com before? They seem to have some great deals on, but only 80 likes on Facebook...wondering if it's real?

Thanks

Mavis

  • Hmm i would personally steer clear - There seems to be no direct way of contacting them either just a 'Contact Us' form that is sent via their website and there is very liitle information about the company when you click on the 'About Us' section of their website

Found this in the b3ta newsletter on a google search:
SPONSORED LINK Cheapo Kindle Touch offer - 40% off. Last week we gave you the chance to get 40% off a Kindle Touch. They sold out very quickly. This week they say they've got 250 more of the !!!!ers, so get in quick. That's £65.40 (+£10P&P) compared to Amazon price of £109. How is this possible? Zappi are running loss leaders to build up a customer base. They also have 30% off iPod Nanos, holidays for 2 in Portugal at £49, and an £8 gym pass for 10 sessions.

So have decided to risk it. Will post if it all turns out ok. Fingers crossed!
  • Only started on facebook in June.

Seems to be an affiliate scheme where you need to email friends with the deals to earn 'credit.'
Not sure your friends will appreciate being spammed. :-/

Under their Terms page it says:
The Service is provided by Best Bundles Limited independantly, trading as Zappi Deals.
    Who are registered at
    4-6 CANFIELD PLACE
    LONDON

Antrobus, think you've looked up a different company - this is Zappi whereas you've looked up Zippy :)

I didn't have to spam or email anyone - just bought the Kindle as I would on any other site.
  • I know the fine print said to expect up to 21 days for delivery, but Im at 14 already and I'm starting to get concerned about the validity of this deal. The money left my bank account already :S
  • I ordered a Kindle 28 days ago and still received nothing. Have spoken to the Bank who are setting up a Visa Dispute and Trading Standards who are going to look into them as they don't post a postal address on their website. Personally I shall now stay very clear of this very dodgy outfit who trade not only as Zappideals, but NHS Discounts and Wowbuys. My bank was debited on day one of the order!
