How Long To Wait For Payment?

I sold something to someone in America this week. The listing ended on Wednesday and I sent an invoice asking the buyer to contact me if there were any issues. I sent a reminder message today saying if they paid today, I would post out tomorrow.

How long do I have to wait before I can cancel the transaction and offer it to the next highest bidder? Do I have to do the dispute thing after 4 full days? I may sound like I am being really unreasonable and impatient, but it's just that the item I sold has an expiry date which was made clear in the listing and I did say I would prefer swift payment so I could post out on Thursday.

PS. I know people have life's and they can't always sit online all day and wait to win an auction and pay. And I know that the buyer may have a problem/illness/someone might have died/whatever.

To be safe you need to do a full NPB before offering it on a second chance offer. So that is open NPB on day 4 and close it 4 days later.

Thanks for confirming that sweetie pie. I thought that was the case, but just wanted confirmation.
