New - Investec FTSE 100 Enhanced Kick-Out Plan 31

Options
The above Investec structured product has just been announced, now that the deadline has past for the previous one.

It seems to be very similar to the previous one.

The best returns are available on the on which is 0% commission.

The product can not be applied for directly, but must be through an IFA.

Does anyone know how much they are likely to charge ? - I am not looking for advice from them, I just want to take out this product.

I see Cavendish will do this for £35, and Moneyworld for a 0.5% fee.

Are there any others that do something similar, and well respected ?

Thanks in advance

doent matter which IFA you use to do it. you are not investing via the IFA. You are just using their agency to submit the business.

Be wary on market counterparty risk. I know our due diligence is cautious on this but investec haven't passed yet our criteria yet. Of course, when you DIY it is up to you to do your own due diligence.

    Thanks for your reply.

I already hold the "Premier Limited Editions No. 37: Premier UK Growth Plan" as although I believe most structured products are poor, this one stood out.

From looking into the Investec one, it seems to be very similar.

As you say, I would just be using them to submit the business. Do you think £35 that Cavendish charge is probably the going rate for this type of thing ?

    Thanks again

I'm thinking of going ahead with this.

Is the Cavendish fee of £35 likely to be the cheapest way of taking out the 0% commission variant of this product ?

    Thanks

    Darren,

Can you provided a link to more information on this plan, I can not find much info and nothing on the Investec website.
What I have found does sound interesting.

Remember the counterparty risk is vital with structured products. There is no FSCS protection on these. If the counterparty goes under so does all your money.

The structured products with the weaker counterparties tend to have better terms than those with stronger counterparties. So, do not focus on the positive terms without considering the risks you are taking.

There doesn't seem to be a big-5 version with this one where counterparty risk is reduced. Version 30 had it if I'm correct.

Yes, it definitely exists with this one. Everything seems to be identical to the 30 one, apart from the rates are slightly different.

    Thanks
