Copy of will question

Basically is it possible to get hold of a copy of someones will the person in question is deceased we klnow they used a company to make the will and that a copy is with them, basically a relative was told by the deceased that they were in the will and had been left £5000, however its now over 2 months since the funeral and the deceased son who is a only child has made no contact with any of the benificeries in the will.
The deceased told the people concerned that were in the will and by how much etc. And as far as we are aware no contact has been made to any of them by the deceased son.
Their was no love lost between the son and the deceased whatsoever and the son didnt even go to see his father in hospital prior to his death even thou he lived within a few miles of the hospital.
Personally i wouldnt trust the son as far as i could throw him, if we do get hold of a copy of the will and there is stated to the effect of the £5000 and the son still refuses to distribute the estate accordingly then i presume we have to get solicitors involved.
The deceased had his own house and 4 cars all left to the son so he wasnt exactly left penniless by his father His mother died some 15 years ago

Once the will has been through the probate process and probate has been granted, anyone can get a copy from the probate registry (current charge £6).
Is the son executor ?
2 months isn't a long time to deal with a will , especially if there is property involved. Normally beneficiaries won't receive their legacy until all assets have been gathered in and all debts paid off - this can take many months. ...
If an executor fails to carry out their duties correctly - yes you can take legal action against them.0 -
It took three years to distribute my Grandmother's estate.
While your fears may be justified, please remember this individual has recently lost a parent.0 -
2 months is nothing even is all the paperwork is in order. Companies changing names was the worst headache.
Found one policy only by luck. We received a voting form. But had no policy information with that name one.
Contacted them and seems they changed names 17 years ago.
We only had a piece of paper with a policy number on and no idea if it was still valid or what type of policy.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
It took until July 25 to distribute the estate of a family member where death took place in September 2011, and that was fairly quick.I am a mortgage broker.
