Help with this ebay problem please

I agreed to sell a job lot of items for my dad from in his loft. The items sold so I went to his house to get them out and he told me that because they were doing loft insulation he had to get everything out and he took them to the charity shop (forgetting that I had put some of the things up on ebay). I've told the buyer this as soon as I knew but they have opened a case and are telling me they want to collect the items and that I'm lying. I'm fully aware that this is terrible and I would be angry myself if I were the buyer but I just no longer have the items. What can I do? It was cash on collection so I don't have their payment. Everything sold for 1.04 but my dad said he didn't care what he got as long as someone came to collect everything. They are convinced I didn't get enough money. I'm not even bothered since the money would've been given to my dad anyways.
I am not selling anything else for family members or friends, that's for sure.
What do I do to fix this?

There is nothing that can be done, the buyer has no case as such against you as there was no payment made.
However , buyer can still report you as a non performing seller and leave poor feedback and low stars, but they can't make you sell something you no longer have.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Take it on the chin and move on - you can't do anything about it, you can't make the items reappear, but because of other people messing buyers around this does happen when there is a genuine issue.
Next time, take the items into your possession when you list them and keep them close and safe. Everything I have for sale on Amazon is stacked up under my desk, so I can't spill anything on them, no-one hunting around in my room will take them out of there, and I won't spontaneously decide to take one out, read it, then lose it or leave it at my boyfriend's house etc. That's what you need to do when you are selling something.
The buyer is not at fault - if you raise an NPB against them it would be unfair - since it's your responsibility to look after what you are selling and make sure they are to hand when the auction ends with a winning bidder - and they could pay to avoid a strike.
The buyer may report you as an NPS and leave a neg; all you can do is write a mea culpa response and let it be shown that you are prepared to take the responsibility when things go wrong. That should minimise any damage done.
I also can't see what case the buyer has if they have not paid but perhaps they mean they have reported you as a Non-Performing Seller. It's not the end of the world, though, if it was a genuine mistake and you don't want it to happen again."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Worst case they all leave negatives and notify ebay what a poor seller you are.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Thanks for your good advice everyone.
I'm trying my best to be a good seller but sometimes I make mistakes. I admit it and I've learned my lesson.0
