Lava Lamp Problem

I have no idea where to put this but am desperate for anyhelp and hope somebody here has some ideas.
The short version is that my lavalamp doesn’t work - it hasa blob at the bottom and a floating blob at the top. The options ive come upwith are:
replace globe?
fix some how?
exchange innards - either liquid or wax.
Ive tried messing about, leaving it on for hours, coveringit with a tea towel to see if it needed more heat, new bulb (this one seems tomake it hot very quickly).
at one point i evenput it in my easy yo yoghurt maker over night (its basically a large thermalmug which keeps the heat of the hot water in).
Due to this being my perfect lava lamp (taking years tofind) and my terminally ill Grams buying it i do not want to throw it away andbuy another). actually i had considered jut buying the same one again howeverthe shop has closed down (it was a one off) but i also cant find mention of itafter extensive Google searches of variations of dragon lava lamp.
its not cloudy which really confuses me due to everythingive read online seems to identify bottom melting and top floating (not reallymelting) as going hand in hand with that.
first off how do i identify which globe it is so that i cantry again to search for globes / other lamps i can nick the globe from.
i love the colours its blue water with blue/ purple ish(depending on the light and how thin each glob is) id say more blue/navy with ahint of purple in colour.
if anyone has any ideas id be eternally grateful if i canfix this.

or do i have the wrong website? (i think im going nuts)- Chez0 -
I remember this, it was a common problem. Apparently the wax seperates in to lighter and heavier wax fractions - with one stuck at the top and the other at the bottom. Anyway, there were various suggestions on how to fix it, but the main thing I recall was getting both waxes molten so they can mix again.0

Lie it on it's side on top of a hot radiator (keeping an eye on it, don't leave it).
That worked for one of ours.
You could always get a replacement bottle.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I *think* i managed to get it to all melt once (i think it was when i used the easiyo yogurt maker) but it seperated again ><Lie it on it's side on top of a hot radiator (keeping an eye on it, don't leave it).

will try the radiator trick in a bit, worried it isnt air tight though
any idea how to identify what type of bottle it is?
i had a google and cant seem to find anyone selling that shape let alone size- Chez0 -
So are you saying that the wax has never since purchase melted and acted as a lava lamp should?
It may be worth contacting Mathmos who are the orginal makers/suppliers of lava lamps and may be able to offer some advice.
Good luck with the radiator attempt, I hope it works for you.
All the best,

Who made the lamp? Is there a manufacturer's name or sticker on it somewhere?
if anyoneone knows hebdenbridge in west yorkshire; the shop it was original purchased from was there (it has since closed down).- Chez0 -
