  • Last year about eighty items up. Mostly £5 - £9 to clear the house. But since the Gumtree revamp they will not allow me to post. I asked them why once and they sent a reply weeks later saying they did not know why. Consequently they made my ads live. But the same thing carries on. I cannot post because everything is instantly removed.

I cannot see why posting in two different places would be a problem. I have mainly sold in London, do not live there but it is actually quite easy to get there on the train ...

The two area ban is an odd one but I know some people have had real issues with gumtree and there is of course the warning when you list about one area only.

Have you breached any other rules? Even though I got my listing pulled I have never been stopped from listing other things.the only other reason would be buyer complaints, where we have threads here about gum tree issues we always suggest the buyer informs gum tree as we know they do stop them listing again if they get a series of complaints.

  • I tried to access my Gumtree account but there was only one item I deleted months ago and another one which never went live. Then it froze and when I tried to log in again I no longer existed.

That site is wound down to force people to use feeBay. Based in Poland now, actually.

I don't think it is being wound down, I listed easily there on Sunday = I rarely sell anything but I do keep trying.

Probably explains why I've had some dodgy redirects to malicious sites whilst on Gumtree recently, of the last few web addresses some were .pl addresses. Luckily my Norton AV saved my computer from harm.
  • I sold my first item on FB and then they shut me down for spam.

If posting five messages on local groups is spam that seems an odd definition. I do not know whether I am allowed to post the totally harmless link and invitation to visit on here ...
