Boiler Question, please advise

Good afternoon,

I am looking at a property which has a ferroli Optimax 25 ov gas boiler. This could be the first property I have lived inw hich did not either have oil central heating or a combi boiler.

My question is simple and perhaps silly, do these boiler systems provide instant hot water though the taps or do you have to wait? e.g. if i go away on holiday for a week and come home, do I have to wait for the cylinder to fill with hot water before i can have a bath!

Your boiler is not a combi so you'll need to turn it on for a while before you get hot water.

You won't have to wait that long. Cup of tea, empty the car should have it covered for one shower.

But it may have or you can fit controls that have a holiday function you set how many days you are away and the boiler is on when you get home.
