London - Birmingham cheap day single
I want to travel from London - Birmingham (one way) with break of journey at Milton Keynes. There is a £27.40 CDS shown on trainline but only next to Marylebone services. Clicking on the conditions this fare does not state it is restricted to Chiltern (there is a cheaper fare that DOES state CHILTERN only). Referring to the Virgin timetable there is nothing to indicate that cheap day tickets are not valid.
So I think the CDS should be valid for the 15:00 Virgin service from Euston, but trainline implies otherwise.
Does anyone know?

The £27.40 is route High Wycombe. It's not Chiltern only because from Banbury to Birmingham there are other operators you could use.
There's a £21.80 Silverlink/Central only CDS that you could use via Milton Keynes (and Northampton).
There's no cheap Virgin fare for walk on journeys.0
