Paying off credit card - Interest

  • Hi Clapton,

I recall one of the figures would be about £24 according to my rough workings out from Statement dates.

went from £30 a month minimum straight to paying off the £1200 balance.

The other card I was making higher than minimum payments, my penultimate payment was about £150, my final was again about £1200.

No trailing interest on either of these, and I haven't used the card since, so no interest at all on these (yay!)
  • I'm wondering if it's some kind of good-will thing that is computer automated to long term accounts - not likely I guess - but I have owed money on both cards for over 5 years.
