Hi, following advice from here ive opened my first PP claim ive had to make (INR) and i explained when i opened the case that i had not received the items paid for and the seller was trying to make me wait until they had successfully claimed from RM to refund me (whenever that may be).
Then the status was 'waiting for seller to respond' (or something similar) which they did after a couple of days uploading not a tracking number but what i gather is a P.O.P reference number (showing as: Royal Mail tracking # 2-738878). Now it states that the case is requiring my action but i have no options to 'act' other than;
Please review the information and let us know how you would like to proceed.
If you've resolved this problem, you can cancel this claim
anytime.
If you received the item but it's different to what you expected, you can change your reason for this claim.
What do i do? I do not want to cancel the claim as i still do not have the items i paid for, and i do not want to change the reason for the claim, however i was wondering if they have uploaded what is NOT a tracking number will i lose the case?
Sorry for the long winded post!

Ummmmmm. As it says: Please review the information and let us know how you would like to proceed.
Not having had to go through the process myself, I assume that links to a box or page where you say you want to escalate the complaint and add that the tracking number's invalid.Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
Should OF, would OF. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.0 -
nope, thats what i was thinking!
but the page is just as i copied it, no link ,no clickable text, nothing! but the change a claim or cancel the claim bits are clickable, just the 'let us know how you wish to proceed' line is just standard text, i don't even have the option to add a message (that i can see) so i can say that its not a tracking ref.
it really has me confused!

Ring paypal and tell the person you speak to that the seller has entered a fictitious. tracking number. I had this happen to me and the Paypal person recognised it was incorrect. They closed the case in my favour straight away and issued the refund.
Ring them and don't take no for an answer!!0 -

Well thank you!
I had a lovely person on the phone and she has processed my refund and closed the claim as she could see it wasnt a valid tracking number.
I feel relieved now, i was thinking i was screwed! And i did consider ringing them as i wasnt sure what action i was supposed to take next and i talked myself out of it :wall:
But its all sorted now, very glad i asked!0
