I'm fancying the following laptop. My questions are - can anyone find the same thing cheaper anywhere else or do you think there's anything that is just as good for a similar price or cheaper?

Thanks very much in advance.

Personally I won't buy Acer, I had one of their laptops once and the quality was lacking.
Also I always buy a laptop with less ram and then upgrade.
What about this @ £410:

Ram upgrade to 8gb @ £35:

It's whether the extra 500gb HDD is worth £85 to you. Though I do think Lenovo are a better brand quality.
That took me 5 mins to find, there'll be a few similar out there.0 -
what do you actually want to do with the laptop?Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
That Acer with integrated GPU don't worth £530 IMO.
£400
Toshiba Satellite C855-10Z 15.6 inch Laptop - Silver (Intel Core i5-2450M 2.5/3.1GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium, USB 3.0)

This machine is £130 cheaper with same CPU.
And I don't see the need of 8 GB RAM with machine with integrated GPU. If you need to do a bit of gaming or video editing, you will need machine with dedicated graphic, and more RAM would be handy for those.
Lenovo Z580 £550, cash back £50.This machine have better spec with latest CPU from intel

Cheers guys for your comments. Having looked into the different brands a bit more, I am quite keen on the idea of getting a Lenovo laptop. To answer the question of what i'm going to do with it, I strongly suspect people will tell me i'm spending too much for what I want it for (internet, photos etc) but I want to try and future proof it as much as possible and get one that i'll keep for a good few years.0

Thanks again guys - finally made a purchase and decided to go with this:

Thought this might be of interest to people - I think it's a good deal for the spec.0
