rented house insurance

I would imagine that if you rent a house that the building will be insured by the landlord, is that correct? a tenant will not be responsible for building cover? I again would imagine that all the insurance you would need if you are renting a home is contents insurance.
Would there be any other insurance for peace of mind that a tenant would require?
cheers

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Normally the landlord looks after the buildings and their own content and you look after your contents and you liability to the landlord (most home contents includes a landlords liability section).
That said, a contract can define whatever it wants and it isnt totally unheard of for a tenant to be made liable for the building (normally longer non-residential cases) in which case you'd be sensible to get both buildings and contents insurance.
Ultimately, read your contract, it normally will have a clause saying the LL must have buildings cover0
