Car is still in the garage, not heard from them but that's a good they as they obviously haven't found anything else wrong apart from the Alternator and Battery that needs replacing!

Stumbled across a mystery shop last night that was at a local shop so picked it up seeing as I can't actually get to my appointments, £4 lovely pounds earned.

SB are going well, saving towards £25 paypal then this will be transferred to debt. I think I'm going to pay off o/d of £500 first as this will be easy to plough into. I closed two other accounts that were with this bank so £2.49 moved over. Every little bit helps doesn't it!

In fact just checked and balance is it little more healthy as payment for a book has gone in, must remember to change this. Balance now at -£460.64 but I get charged for underfunding and the overdraft every month so must get this sorted.

Still waiting for car, should be done today as problems getting alternator, it's saved me some diesel this week and been nice walking the kids to school.

No idea on the cost but I'm ready for a big bill!

Time to start really planning payments for towards the debt, my plan of buying little and often towards Xmas is going well and 2 family members sorted out of weekly food budget.

    So currents debts:

    Cc1 £0
    Cc2 £780
    CC3 £2000
Loan (max end Feb 2013) £359
    o/d 1 £448.39
    o/d 2 £1000

I'm focusing on o/d 1 as I get charged £25 a month for this, I've worked out a schedule to pay off and will change subject to extra income from surveys, Quidco etc.

    Balance = -£448.39

    13th Nov £134.80 in / £25 charge = -£338.59
    11th Dec £134.80 in / £25 charge = -£228.79
    8th Jan £134.80 in / £25 charge = -£118.99
5th Feb £134.80 in / £25 charge = -£9.19 will pay final bit and close account.

So by February at the latest I will have paid back this overdraft and the loan will be clear too :j

Happy days! I will then transfer Child Benefit to another account and use to pay off other debt.

I'm not even going to mention the car except that I still haven't got it!

In other news I had a chat with dh last night and we talked about wanting to send the kids to private school for their high school, the local one is rubbish and my dd has a brilliant Maths brain on her and would like both her and my son to experience quality education. Their schools now are fantastic so I would hate them to lose all that. The private school is obviously a total luxury and expense but if we started to save now it might be achievable.

I've been down to a local company (can't say too much as live in a small town) and will be picking up some extra work on a Friday evening and anything else I can do which we'll throw at the debts and then on the savings.

My daughter will go to high school in 2 1/2 years time and my son in 5 1/2 years time so need to get cracking as soon as we've cleared the debt.

So no car, what's new! Still at the F*rd garage in the next town where my local garage had to take it to reset the immobiliser but they then discovered that some of the other systems weren't working. Each day that passes makes me edgy as to how much I'm likely to be paying out :(

Before I knew about that I had transferred some money to o/d 1 to try and pay off quicker, so this now stands at -£348.39 :)

I've been down to the 2nd employment place and they are keen to get me started as they already know me and what my experience is, just need to take down another form and some ID so will get that ready today.

Just need my car back now so I can earn the extra money!

    Hello EvCakes,

I'm so sorry to hear about your car being kidnapped from you. It's very worrying when they hold on to it, but as winter has just hit us then maybe the garage is currently inundated with issues and is struggling to get to the bottom of the pile? I hope it's something like that and the phone call you eventually get is a relief for you.

Congratulations on your 2nd employment place.

There's not many people who could have found that £680 to pay for the car, so I guess that's a positive that you were in a good position for it?

Boo to the oven too! Really unfair! x

Ooh I agree it's great that I managed to pay for the car, but unfortunately had to borrow so yet another debt currently trying to figure out how I can get through the month until 22nd on £50!

Can't wait to get the second income starting to come in, right off to source pennies and vouchers x
