Received a parking ticket on the way back from dentist appointment for the kids

I received a parking ticket on the way back from dentist appointment for the kids. I was 11 min late. I was seeing the officers doing my ticket but was helpless as my 3 yr old was sick and screaming (I was on the other side of the road). But I was there before he stuck the ticket so I took it out but he said he needed to take picture so I had to put back the ticket on my windscreen. Are there any chances of success if I appeal.

Could you tell us who issued this ticket? we need the information before we can advise - many thanksExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
civil enrolment officer- calderdale council
thanks0 -
We advise on here to to post on the Pepipoo forums for council PCNs, the reason is that they are widely accepted as the experts on the net. They will need to see scans of your PCN, scrubbed of your personal information, and images of signs and road markings to help you. You can host these on Photobucket for free, just post links into the new thread you create.
Best of luck

You actually followed the instructions of a CEO? What do you think he would have done if you refused? But I was there before he stuck the ticket so I took it out but he said he needed to take picture so I had to put back the ticket on my windscreen.
Not that it helps or hinders your case.0 -
"he said he needed to take picture so I had to put back the ticket on my windscreen"
Should have said sorry to late I have already removed it!:p
Scan the PCN and post it up on Pepipoo!0 -
Appeal. Many council parking charges are successfully challenged on appeal. A sick child might get you off the hook, and being kept late by a dentist must be a common occurrence. I've never had to challenge a council PCN, but unlike private parking companies they will consider an appeal. Depends how sympathetic they are, I guess.0

Thank you all for the responses. I have seen the evidences today there is one picture with me trying to take the ticket out. I am worried now whether I will be in trouble for interrupting the officer from doing his job. I also want to know if anybody else can see my picture other than me. thanks0

What? When a PCN is put on your windscreen you ARE allowed to take it off, you are the driver and that's what you are supposed to do. There was no reason why you 'had' to comply and reattach the thing just so he could take a photo of it. What possible offence are you worried you have committed? You haven't!!
Presumably you had to type in your PCN number to view your pics? Then that's like your PIN number and no-one else can look on the Council website and see those pics (except the Council Parking Dept staff).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
