Forget what was said about the new under occupancy rules coming in April as it won't affect you as you are renting from a private landlord and your not a social tenant.
Under Local Housing Allowance you will get the 2 bedroom rate. One room for you and one room for your son. If your daughter is living at Uni then she won't be included as part of your household. If you disagree with this you should write in to appeal. If they stick to their original decision of only giving you the 2 bedroom rate then you will have to let them know every time your daughter returns to live with you as they should bump you up to the 3 bedroom rate.0
