That's a very good question, which I'd never thought of.
But my personal opinion.... You haven't actually pre-booked, you've still got tesco's equivilent of 'cash' and need to get the the tickets printed out to gain access to the park. Therefore you still need to queue as normal.
If anyone else knows any different I would also like to know, as I've got the token tickets as well!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

From the Tesco deals site, PDF you can open on the alton towers page:
"Simply present your Alton Towers Deal Token at the Admissions Kiosk at Alton Towers and exchange it for a Day Ticket on the day you wish to visit."
I should read those PDF's more often!!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A

isitenough are you stopping at the hotel too?
i am stopping at the splash hotel, i will arrive at alton towers around 9 45am then make my way to the hotel to drop off my overnight bag then head back to main entrance to enter the theme park.
do you reckon the lockers will hold an average size back pack? that will save me going to the hotel, i can queue straight away to get in the theme park
oh what to do..... such a hard life.... lol0 -

If you are stopping at the hotel you get early access (form 9am I think??) to the theme park, there is a ticket kiosk in the reception of the Alton Towers hotel (which is right next door to Splash Landings) where you can swap your vouchers for tickets.
I am staying but not going into the park until Friday morning so will be up bright & early for breakfast!
oh but also.... the lockers are quite big so you would be ok with a bag, I can't remember where in the park the lockers are though, I can just remember seeing them last time thinking that was a good idea! we needed a change of clothes after getting VERY wet on the Flume.0 -

i spoke to the hotel and they said i have to queue up at admissions to exchange my tesco alton towers token, so now i am confused...0 -
hmmmm I don't know then
sorry to confuse you!
when I booked the hotel I asked about changing my voucher because I would want to take advantage of being allowed to have early access to the park and the lady who took the booking said I could get my tickets from the kiosk at reception of the Alton Towers hotel.
I know there is a kiosk because I saw it last year when we stayed there.
Maybe it's different because I'm staying the night before I go into the theme park??
We are going into Splash Landings water park tomorrow, staying in the hotel & then theme park on Friday.
Regarding the early entry my leaflet says:
The Early Bird
Enjoy Early Ride Time on selected rides from 9am. As a hotel guest, you have entry to the theme park before the day visitors arrive. All other rides open at 10am and the main gates open for day visitors at 9.30am.
Hope some of that helps. CC0 -

I have to change my own tesco vouchers anyway so I don't mind asking. When are you going though? because I won't be able to post a message on here until Friday evening.0 -

Oh the confusion! Seems these companies don't train their people very well!!
Hope you get a less confusing answer!
We're eager to hear!
Hi Parsnips (cool username btw!!). No, not as yet. We've got the tickets and still thinking about accomodation. As you said, what to do! (we got one of those woolworths vouchers, 2 nights for the price of 1, so that confuses us even more!).Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
