Be very careful when buying currency on line - made a mistake and ordered via credit card and today was charged £75 for the mistake.
The problem was the drop down box was for credit cards and not debit cards - no mention of any charges but of course it was stated in the terms and conditions (unfortunately I did not read) The company was MoneyCorp - tried to ask for more clarity in their approach but was given short shrift.:

I thought everyone knew this, considering credit card companies take 3% ish off every transaction, the company would be left out of pocket. You will probably also be charged interest and a cash advance fee by your card company as it is a cash purchase. The only none debit card you can buy cash with is with an Amex when buying cash from Amex.0

Have they all stopped giving foreign currency fee free* and at your purchase rate* (and also giving 50+ days interest free*)?

I forgot about M&S (Great stoozing card) but I was under the impression you got charged interest on the Tesco card.0 -

Purchase transactions are interest free if the statement balance is settled in full.No cash advance fee and no handling fee if you pay with your Tesco Credit Card
Buying foreign currency with a Tesco Clubcard Credit Card from Tesco Travel Money will count towards a customer's cash limit but will be treated as a purchase transaction and will still be charged interest at the purchase interest rate.
