Any garage/tyre place should be able to do it, otherwise ..........

Crikey, now I know about this my shiny 17" Alloys don't feel very safe!
  • We had quotes to replace the wheel nut key on a lost one for one of our staff recently ranging from £60 to £125!! It varied between dealers massively.

They aren't that easy to get replaced....clearly for security reasons....but be nice to your loacl dealer and see what they say..if it is over £100 tell them you've been told by phone from another dealer that it should be nearer to £60 and see if that works at all!!

Obviously they shouldn't be cheap to replace...that's the whole point.

Oooop, btdt - my first was a Ford (being all girlie, like, I didn't know anything about freaking locking wheel nuts). When I found out how much a replacement was I angel grinded them off and put non-locking ones on :D Where we live, you can leave your keys in the ignition and the front door open and nothing ever happens to your things.

We've since bought another car (Nissan, not Ford) and hey, guess what was missing?!
Anyway, we got hold of this company:
    http://www.mountneyltd.com/default.htm

who quoted us about £9.50 for a replacement one before Christmas. After lots of phonecalls chasing them up and then being told they had sold out I finally received one this morning in the post with a compliments slip in there and no invoice :T

    Worth a try, perhaps?
    Their number is 01525 383055

    Good luck

Those reverse threaded sockets from screw fix only work on the soft metal wheel nuts. They won't remove the hardened ones with the revolving ring.
Try a company called hometyre, they carry a special tool to get them off, and they are cheaper than most garages. They did my mates for less than half of what the garage wanted (£135 at a vauxhall dealer).

We just smash any old socket over the locker and force it off. that always works.

We only use old sockets that are no longer in use tho! Lol.
