where to invest large amount

  • have premium bonds and Isa, looking for another home, as have savings with two banks which are going to merge so looking to diversify, ir High income bonds??
    have appt with a financial advisor, but find it totally confusing, Im the generation who just saves in a building soc. any further advice appreciated

    If its the bank's own financial adviser I'd suggest you cancel.

    Normally I'd suggest an Independent Financial Adviser, but if you think you need this money in two years anything beyond deposit based savings accounts is inappropriate.

    In the short term, get the money in an easy access savings account paying 2.75% or more.
