Anyone having trouble with play.com?

I haven't used play.com in a couple of months. I went to buy a couple of DVD box sets for my mum, I went to pay and changed the delivery address so it went to my mum (we live at the same address so I just changed the name). Then the payment screen came and it said they are now using verified by visa. I don't recall using this with play before.
The next day I get an email saying my card was declined and that I should check I entered the details correctly. I went back and checked everything was correct and did the verified by visa again and still the next day I get the same message.
So I go back to play and decided to cancel and start again, this time just having it delivered to me. I did that yesterday and on my outstanding orders it still just says order placed so I guess it had been declined yet again.
The thing is, I often forget my verified by visa password, and when I enter it wrong it tells me and gives me another chance to enter it, this didn't happen with play so I assume my password is correct but I don't have a clue what else could be wrong. I use my normal debit card and have plenty of funds in there. I had assumed it was because it was addressed to someone other than the name on my debit card but it seems it still hasn't worked.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? And what did you do to resolve it? I don't really want to call up their premium phone line.

Is your debit card/credit card registered to your current address? If you have moved recently and you haven't changed your address with the bank/credit card company, it will be declined.

Play is hit and miss, there have been ongoing problems for many years now. When I sold on there, my main query 'why is my order declined'. It seemed Play declines payments all day long for no apparent reason in some cases. When it does happen, it is rare that an email is sent to the customer informing them of it.
I can't believe they just left it like this for so long, this occurred for years. Their systems must suck.0
