Dixiedean - it's a risk I'll have to take!! Stephen, thankyou - will give that a try, sounds interesting. Jojo, he was tested earlier in the year for that and other things as he has some symptoms but all tests came back negative. He has a very physical job - guess he just works up a thirst :-(0

If he likes fizzy drinks then why not try him on sparkling water at home? Or as has been suggested, half fizzy water and half apple juce. Or fizzy water and a dash of sugar free cordial of some sort.Val.0

Unless you have a source of free/cheap fruit and don't mind spending loads of time juicing and cleaning up your juicer, I wouldn't try to make that much juice from scratch. It'll take ages and use loads of fruit (you get less juice from an apple then you'd expect). Anyway, that's likely more juice than he needs to drink!
If wanting to make your own fruit drinks, how about smoothies? Blending a couple of pieces of fruit with water/milk and ice can make best part of a litre of smoothie, and your husband will get more of the goodness from the fruit.
Or how about a squeeze of lemon in a glass of iced water? Or iced fizzy water with a drop of angustura bitters?0 -
I got used to diluted juice really quickly and now I find it too strong to drink neat. I would suggest ice tea as a grown up drink. Whittards does a nice pear and guava not sweet but there are many others and you can usually sample them in the shop. They are not cheap but last long. Actually there are several with apple flavours.
Alternatively what about cheaper apple juice like own brands? Tesco do a nice apple and raspberry.Save £12k in 25 No 49
