MOT & Service
I bought a 57 plate mazda back last September. It's now due for it's MOT and service next month. It had done approx 24-25k miles when I bought it and now is on 29k, so hardly any mileage in the past year.
I'm due to go on holiday in October and am trying to save the pennies to scrimp together spending money. I was quoted from mazda £200 for a "value" service and MOT, and it's still £155 for interim & MOT or £170 for full & MOT from Halfords.
The car has run beautifully and the previous owner got it serviced 1-2 times a year. Would it affect anything when it came to sell it if I just put the service off for a month or two (or perhaps even 3-4 with Christmas coming soon after )?
Thanks in advance, I know nothing about cars!!

1-2 months once no. 3-4 months maybe. 1-2 months every year would indicate a pattern so maybe yes.I bought a 57 plate mazda back last September. It's now due for it's MOT and service next month. Its a nice newish car, look after it! £200 doesn't sound bad, just make sure everything crucial in the book is done for that £200.0 -
Have you tried phoning round different Mazda garages (assuming you have or could have access to more than one)? I have a Nissan but service quotes varied by about £100 from different Nissan garages for the same thing. Worth a try!0
