Hello – I am have recently moved house as of July 7th. I am thinking about applying for a credit card. However I have filled in form to be put on electrol roll but they say I will not be added until October 16th!!! Will I get rejected if I am not on it? Is there any other option ?
Also new house I have moved to has a lot of bailiffs letters coming through. Is it possible that my new address could be on a black list ?

There's no such thing as a blacklist so don't worry about that. Just write "no longer at this address" or similar on the envelope and stick it all in the nearest postbox.
As for applying for a credit card before you're on the electoral roll - other than possibly your own bank, you've got little chance of being accepted as they will struggle to check your ID.
Maybe try your own bank, if they say no then wait until you're on the electoral roll, then check your reports with Eq/Ex/CC to make sure your status has appeared on their files (this can take an extra month sometimes).0 -

Well, depends on the lender. She might get lucky with another application, I took out two within two months and both were approved. One extra search probably won't do much harm, so she may as well give it a go!0 -
Ok my girlfriend just applied for CC with Halifax but ir was rejected. How will this effect her credit rating. Will she be able to apply again in a few months ?0

The fact that she was rejected does't show up on her credit report - only that she applied. This one application won't have a bad effect but DO NOT apply again for something else in the next few days. Give it at least 3-6 months before any further applications. By this time hopefully you will be on the electoral roll at your new address and can apply for a card yourself.0

You're probably still on the electoral roll at your old place, and all lenders ask for the old address if you tell them that you've just moved, so it depends.
I've gotten approved just after moving (wasn't really intending to apply, but I thought I would just see how it went, and the sooner I applied, the sooner the searches would drop off), so I assume they saw I was on the roll before.0
