I had free school meals for my kids when at uni, because I got full child tax credits but not working tax credits. It goes on the income on the CTC form (ie BEFORE you get the tax credits) - I just sent off the tax credit award notice with the application for school meals0

Yes, but that doesn't apear to be a criteria for free meals (although I thought it used to be?:cool:) I will do as clairec says, and I will send my tc form in, once they have sent me a new one out with the amended details on. it would then show my income as being the 2500 adult dependant grant and that is it
I don't know why these people in benefit sections have to be so unhelpful. I am not trying to rob them... I just want to make life as manageable as possible while I get my degree done!!!
Hopefully some work will turn up for my husband and all this will be a moot point anyway
