Charge against home

Hi

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advise plse.

I have a charging order against my property regarding a 3 yr contract i broke over a van hire agreement.

I have paid a years rental and a large deposit, however i hhave found out through the courts they also have a 10 grand charge against my property.

i haventr the money to chalenge this order and i need to sell my house, does anyone have any ideas or info, how i can get out of paying this order, so i can sell my house without the charge.

i have wrote to them and tryed to negoiate a deal but their holding out for the full amount.

    you know that this doesn't stop you selling your house? It means the charge will be paid off at the time of the house sale along with the mortgage.

    It will mean that you will have to pursue a refund of this charge as opposed to getting the charge removed, but the mechanics will be the same.

    (Unless there is not sufficient equity in your home, in which case you will have a problem with selling but may mean the charge is more negotiable as they are never going to see full value for it.)
