Hotel in Ibiza

hi all
I'm looking for a holiday in Ibiza ( or similar) for the first week in October.

Have found two which may be suitable ( 2x 50something adults not bothered about nightlife, cleanliness food and comfort more important)

has anyone been to either or got a recommendation

1. Grupotel Santa Eularia Hotel

2. Fiesta Hotel Don Carlos

thanks in advance

Yes I have looked on trip advisor as I normally do, but sometimes you do wonder, given the polar opposite reviews, whether some people are reviewing the same hotel. It takes all sorts I suppose, and different people have different requirements

    thanks for your input

    I've been Money Tipped!
The Fiesta Don Carlos has undergone a massive refurbishment which hasn't been favourable with some of the regulars who had been going for many years. However, it is in a spectacular location with a nice walk into town along the promenade. The Grupotel has better reviews but IMO is not in such a nice location, and quite a walk into town. I would pick the Don Carlos every time.
  • Stayed at the Gruphotel in Santa Eulalia for a week about 4 years ago, but might be 5.... I should know as we got married in Santa Eulalia and we stayed in that hotel for the duration and its my wedding anniversary tomorrow... I know that, just cant remember how long i've been married for.......

Anyway, we eat out a lot etc when on holiday so a hotel room for us is really just a place to get a late night drink and to sleep.

We found the hotel to be really good! Its just a short walk into the town itself, when I say short, from memory about a 10 minute stroll. Our room was really good, we were ground floor but with a balcony and a sea view. Obviously other rooms will be higher up and some wont have sea views and some rooms will have a pool view. There are a couple of decent bars/restaurants within spitting distance of the hotel but as I said it's not far from the town. Used the bar at the hotel most days but didn't have any food there, so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly but then we know the town very well and didn't need to ask them directions or anything so apart from asking them to order us a taxi occasionally we didn't really have to interact with them other than check in/out.

In short, I would stay there again. Send me pm if you have any more questions etc.
