Palm TX PDA & GPS

I am after a PDA and have found a Palm TX new on ebay for £117.00. UK price is £178.00.
The question is I would also like to use this PDA as a GPS. Does anyone know what software would work with this PDA and what I would require to get it all up and running.

As far as I know, without GPRS it can't act as a SatNav tool, which I assume is what you're referring to?
The OS is Palm's own, and with most PDA's, is stored on the memory so can be wiped and reinstalled as often as necessary without the need for outside sources being attached.IT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer

The PDA itself does not have GPS built into it, but it does have bluetooth and I think it is SDIO compatible.
What that means is you can buy a bluetooth GPS receiver or an SDIO one (bluetooth connects wirelessly, SDIO will plug into the SD card slot at the top).
You will then have to get a bit of software to use the GPS system, I assume you mean for satnav, and if that is the case companies like TomTom have good software available.
(I use a TomTom bluetooth receiver (about £60) and a copy of TomTom with my Treo (which uses the same operating system), and have no problems)
PS Don't confuse GPS (Global positioning system) and GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) as they are very different!'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'
